Tonight I had big plans to actually stay for my first WW meeting in months, but alas, the airport calls. With a big family scattered all over the globe (with a heavy concentration in the UK) I'm doing an airport run this evening and will miss my meeting.
Since there are many places to weigh in, I'm going to dig out my book, look at the schedule and do it tomorrow somewhere in the area. I'll post you on the weight loss and YES, there will be a weight loss. It has been a great week for eating right and talk about exercise...MOVING should almost be an Olympic event. If it were, I'd surely take a silver.
Right now I'm checking my email at my daughters, eating a microwave healthy meal (it is breakfast and lunch) and then...drumroll please...we are going to turn the keys in to the old apartment.
I'm not going to get sentimental about it, I promise to never miss the place and every night I go to sleep in our new 100 year old house, I'll thank my lucky stars that there is no one above me fighting, partying or screaming. BLISS!
The new house is going along nicely, though our budget is going to keep us without a kitchen (or appliances) for one to two months. We are going to be roughing it with the microwave, Mr. Coffee (Morton can actually COOK with that!) a toaster, George Foreman grill and no way to keep anything cold.
Since we have the kitchen gutted at the moment, it is my next project. Fixing the ceiling, putting up a few bits of drywall, sanding, then of course, there will be the painting. We are also ripping out a broken tile floor that should be good for burning off at least a million calories!
The house is like fitting together a jigsaw puzzle and I'm taking great pleasure (even though it might seem like I'm complaining) in piecing it together. There is an old bed that I'm turning into two benches that will come together and close into a bed whenever anyone spends the night, then there is an old $5. table that I've turned into a really cool stacked desk. As soon as I find the camera, I'll take some pictures to share.
Right now the living room is filled with kitchen stuff, the kitchen is filled with
DIY stuff and the bathroom is clean and in use. It all is wonderful and brilliant because it is ours...and the banks of course!
Make today the day that you start a project, finish a project, take care of yourself and SMILE!
