Spending the first night in our home was brilliant. We fell asleep to crickets chirping rather then doors banging shut. In the morning we woke up to birds sing as opposed to horns blowing and people shouting. It was sheer bliss.
There are just a few more loads from the old apartment, then it will be just a distant memory. One of the things still to bring over are our bicycles. I'm going to try to ride mine to the new house tomorrow, but I am going to listen to my knee. If it tells me to get off and push, I will!
Today between boxes my phone rang and I had a little break, laying across the bottom of my bed. As I talked on the phone I looked out the window to discover the view from the bed is this enormous tree and blue sky. If I keep my head down, it looks like I'm in the middle of no where.
Even though I'm still in the same little town, it feels like we are now a million miles away from where we use to live. It is amazing what a little change of location can do for you.
As soon as I find my camera I'll share some pictures on here. It is packed with the dozens of boxes somewhere in my little dining room.
Make today the day that you take your health into your own hands and start making your little changes. They add up!
