I've just finished posting the link to your journal; I hope it helps you. I quite enjoyed reading your posts, and I hope others will, too.
I was looking for some great blogs and I found yours.
Your layout is great, posts are easy to read... All around, it's a great journal.
What a week. If ever I have learned the lesson about just how important your health is to you it has been this week.
A person who has been in my entire 45 years of my life has had a stroke and a person very close to me has been flat on her back sick. It teaches us everyday if we look around us that our health isn't a right, but something we need to fight for on a daily basis.
How many of us worry about things like what our co-workers will think of this outft, or if our neighbors are going to take our parking place? Things that really don't matter top the list for our worries.
If you take a one minute test and think about what worries you the most, chances are it isn't going to be your health, but something very trivial that we let gnaw away at us.
The very simple fact is that if we don't take care of our health, someone else will have to. This should be our top priority each and every day. We are taught to take care of others before ourselves (after all, we don't want to be accused of being selfish do we?) but in truth, we have to put our own health first if we want to keep living.
Since we are all running around this planet on very limited time I propose to quit worrying about all these things that add up to stress that we have no control over and really, once and for all, understand the importance of taking care of ourselves.
I'm very guilty of overlooking me for decades and my knees that are worn out before the rest of me and a body that has been stretched out of shape is proof when I look in the mirror of what happens when we stop caring about the most important things in our lives. That is to stay healthy and keep living.
Kick yourself in the butt, step out of your comfort zone, forget the trivial stuff and go take a walk. When you are finished with that, take another and another. While you are walking think of things, real and positive things, that you can do to improve your health.
Today is the day.
