Sorry....didn't realize I was limited on characters here...LOL
Thanks Priscilla, and ENJOY your time in Spain!! Wow!! You go girl!!
Am excited to read it! And yes...Autumn is definitly in the air here in NW Minnesota! Watching leaves fall as I type...lol..ugh!! I LOVE the fragrance of Autumn candles, and dried leaves!
I've just finished posting the link to your journal; I hope it helps you. I quite enjoyed reading your posts, and I hope others will, too.
I was looking for some great blogs and I found yours.
Your layout is great, posts are easy to read... All around, it's a great journal.
Morton and I use to sing this classic song by The Proclaimers when we were on our 3,000 mile journey walking and bicycling up the east coast of America. It was catchy, we both knew the words and it would keep us going.
Today I was singing it again as I walked this morning and this afternoon. I'm in training, walking my butt off (literally) and taking the world with me again. It feels BRILLIANT!
There is nothing that compares to walking through a carpet of lemon yellow leaves that are not just under your feet, but blowing off the trees into your hair. I was a child again as I walked, kicking my way through this lush autumn carpet that will soon scatter with winter.
I'm in training for a very big walk I'm going to be doing in the spring of 2009 that I want to be 110% ready for. There is going to be no running out of water like I did in the Florida Keys or struggling with where I'm going to be popping my tent up, no begging for shelter, just the pure pleasure of walking. That is when the sun is out and the wind isn't blowing in my face.
I'm going to be walking the stunning South West Coast Path in England. 630 miles of million dollar views (or maybe I should say British Pound views) and enough hills to equal three Mt. Everest climbs. BRILLIANT!
Sadly Morton isn't going to be along on this adventure. It is going to be me, a very small film crew and hopefully lots of people tagging along for parts of the journey.
My heart is racing and I have this big grin on my face about this big adventure. I really do miss the road, the fresh air, the weather, the thrill of meeting people who are out and moving toward better health are all things you miss when you are in front of the computer.
The next few months are going to be really hectic. I'm doing big walks on the east coast of America and I really hope that YOU will come out and join me if I'm in your area.
The filming going on with Healthy Vacations is fantastic and we are going to use part of the adventure in England for the series.
2009 WILL see me finally, for the first time in my life, be a normal sized human. That might be the most thrilling part of this whole adventure!
If you want to have a fantastic day TAKE A WALK! We are enjoying very mild temperatures here in Pennsylvania and I'm thinking about taking my THIRD walk for the day after I eat my dinner.
Don't stop,
