I've just finished posting the link to your journal; I hope it helps you. I quite enjoyed reading your posts, and I hope others will, too.
I was looking for some great blogs and I found yours.
Your layout is great, posts are easy to read... All around, it's a great journal.
Today we are given this amazing gift of a whole extra hour in our day. If you set your clock ahead last night, chances are your body clock is still on daylight savings time and you might have woken up early this morning. I did.
At 4:45 am, current time and though I toyed with the thought of going back to sleep I did something incredible. The dishes. Last night we had a rushed supper of the very healthy variety, beautiful salad, stir-fried veg (spray olive oil) with a chicken breast and then we were out the door. The pile of dishes in the kitchen were on my mind when we came home last night, but not enough to make me do them.
So with my extra hour I stayed awake this morning and as Morton was getting ready to go out the door to work, all my housework was already done and I was able to be dressed and walking out the door with him. He was puzzled to say the least.
"Why didn't you just stay in your bed?" he asked. I know that he would have if he wouldn't have had to work today. "I listened to my body, finally!" I replied.
As my husband drove off to work I walked our little town. The sun wasn't even thinking about coming out when I started but by the time I came back on my porch about 45 minutes later, it felt warmer and the house across the street that is normally a dull white was glowing a rosy-yellow with a touch of pink and orange added in. It was really a sight to see and I was tempted to take a picture of it and then show the people that lived there how THAT color would look on their house!
Instead I came inside, grabbed a shower, now sit here with my laptop getting ready to get a REAL workout and the time is only 6:32 am. I feel like I have accomplished so many things today that anything is possible now.
The thing that is really making me smile is that if I can keep getting up an hour early each day I have done what we are all striving to do, have more time.
What are YOU going to do with your extra hour today? Drop me an email or post on the tag board.
